I started working with fiber in 1997, driven by my passion for experimenting with color, craft, and design. For years, I created wearable silk and Tencel clothing by hand-dyeing and sewing. I sold my creations at art fairs throughout the United States. After two decades of this work, I decided to take a break. However, I soon found myself dyeing wool for spinners and felters. The world of wool fiber is both fascinating and expansive. As I delved deeper into various felting techniques, I began to create garments, transitioning from sewing to felting. Felting allows me to create my own fabric and to showcase a wide range of work, from lightweight shawls to thick winter coats, or even everyday dryer balls. I use a combination of Needle Felting, Nuno Felting, and Wet Felting techniques in my creations. In 2025, I started making 2D fine art needle-felted works. I am enjoying the process and plan to focus primarily on 2D needle felted art going forward.
